An Acoustic Evening with CHRIS YOUNG WITH CHRISTIAN HAYES

Chris Young is a study in contrasts and dualities. He’s frequently complimented by music press as being a country “traditionalist” —with good reason —but he’s equally fond of pushing against stylistic boundaries. He’s an old soul with songs that express deep wisdom as well as youthful rambunctiousness, and he somehow makes it look effortless. “I still love what I do,” says the Tennessee native, who’s notched 14career Number Ones and 25R.I.A.A. certified projects. “I love creating music and the fact that I get to do that for a living is a pretty incredible thing.”   After scoring a major hit alongside his pal Kane Brown with 2020’s “Famous Friends,” Young returned to the studio and embraced the many contrasts of his artistry. The result is Young Love & Saturday Nights, Young’s ninth studio album and a bold statement that he’s one of the most versatile and durable talents of his era. At 18 songs, the project is Young’s most ambitious release yet and a demonstration of his confidence as a writer, artist, and producer. Instead of chasing trends, Young turns things up —emotionally, sonically, stylistically. The ballads hit harder, the rowdy tunes are more raucous, and the anthems hit new highs. Young sounds both classic and cutting-edge, one of the many reasons he’s established himself as a bedrock artist in country music.    www.chrisyoungcountry.com       Christian Hayes, a singer-songwriter from the Appalachian foothills, channels authenticity, raw emotion and vulnerability through his Americana-infused folk and pop-rooted music.

Josh Turner – This Country Music Thing Tour with Christian Hayes

Josh Turner This Country Music Thing   Twenty-plus years after a truly epic debut, “this country music thing” MCA Nashville recording artist Josh Turner does is still as clear and consistent as ever. A rock-solid dedication to traditional roots. An unshakable focus on craftsman quality. A once-in-a-generation vocalist, with a rumbling bass that never falters. But as the South Carolina native knows, “consistent” has never meant “static.”   Turner has seen the trends come and go and soldiered through the ups and downs of an often fickle business. He’s stayed true to himself –even as the ground beneath him shifted –and now, he’s in the sweet spot of creative confidence. With his 10th studio album, Turner keeps doing This Country Music Thing like only he can –and it’s still important work.   “This is who I am. This is who I was born to be –it’s something that feeds me and fulfills me, and I’ve never lost my love for this,” Turner says. “When I first started, my goal was to just be myself and sing songs that meant something to me. To keep the tradition of country alive, but at the same time, make it fresh, make it new. I feel like it gets more challenging over time, but at the end of the day, it’s worth it.”     Christian Hayes, a singer-songwriter from the Appalachian foothills, channels authenticity, raw emotion and vulnerability through his Americana-infused folk and pop-rooted music.

Sundy Best With The Creekers & Hunter Flynn

Sundy Best was formed by two friends since elementary school, Nick Jamerson and Kris Bentley, from Prestonsburg in Eastern Kentucky. Both were athletes in college, with Jamerson playing football while at University of Pikeville where he studied history, and Bentley played basketball at Centre College in Danville where he studied English. They formed a duo after college, and moved to Lexington, Kentucky in August 2010. Jamerson performed as the lead vocalist and played the guitar, with Bentley on the cajón drum. Their name referred to the way they pronounce “Sunday best”, their best clothing worn in church where they began playing music together on Sundays during their senior year in high school. “For those of you who may not know, Sundy Best is a duo out of Prestonsburg, Kentucky composed of Nicholas Jamerson and Kris Lee Bentley. Between then and 2018, Sundy Best wrote, recorded, and toured in a prolific manner, releasing three more albums, a live album, and several singles following that debut record, for a total of nearly 100 songs in just over four years. As a result, they quickly gained a massive following and rose to the top of the regional country scene, experiencing quite a bit of national success as well. Known for songs like “Painted Blue,” “Hindman,” and “I Wanna Go Home,” the duo found themselves in a position of Appalachian country music royalty and one of America’s national non-mainstream up and comers.” The Creekers The Creekers have a unique sound that include Bluegrass influences with country and pop songs you may recognize. They have spent the last couple of years growing a fan base and establishing a name in the East Kentucky/East Tennessee and surrounding areas. Hunter Flynn     Hunter Flynn is a native to the Bluegrass state, born and raised in Pulaski county, Kentucky. Flynn’s first public performance came in early 2022. John Anderson With Rye Davis

JOHN ANDERSON (A special acoustic evening with the legend himself!) Straight Tequila Night, the lead-off single from Seminole Wind, went to number one across the board on every country chart.  It was his first bona-fide chart-topper since Black Sheep in 1983.  W.   Seminole Wind is a vivid personal statement which Anderson wrote after visiting his 95-year old grandmother, and after driving around Florida observing the drastic ecological changes that time and progress wrought on his native state.. Those of us who’ve followed the vicissitudes of Anderson’s recording career aren’t particularly surprised at his “rediscovery” in the wake of Seminole Wind.  This is, after all, the vocal genius who won the Country Music Association’s 1983 Horizon Award and helped lay the cornerstone for the late 1980’s neo-traditionalist boom with his aforementioned early ’80’s stone-country hits.  Those hits which showcased Anderson’s arresting, instantly recognizable vocal style; a provocative mixture of honky tonk fervor, rockabilly/outlaw gusto, sly, tongue-in-cheek humor, and just a hint of rock n’ roll swagger.  The Anderson we hear today is merely the new and slightly mellowed adult version of the stylistically headstrong, fiercely determined 17-year old who hit Nashville running in 1972.  John followed Seminole Wind with five more critically acclaimed albums, spawning hits like, Money In The Bank, I’ve Got It Made, I Wish I Could Have Been There, Let Go Of The Stone, Bend It ‘Til It Breaks, Mississippi Moon and Somebody Slap Me. John Anderson… a colorful character and truly a country music treasure!

The SteelDrivers With Zach Mosgrove

ONLY NASHVILLE COULD GIVE BIRTH TO A BAND LIKE THE STEELDRIVERS: a group of seasoned veterans –each distinguished in his or her own right, each valued in the town’s commercial community –who are seizing an opportunity to follow their hearts to their souls’ reward. In doing so, they are braiding their bluegrass roots with new threads of their own design, bringing together country, soul, blues, and other contemporary influences to create an unapologetic hybrid that is old as the hills but fresh as the morning dew. This is new music with the old feeling. SteelDrivers fan Vince Gill describes the band’s fusion as simply “an incredible combination.”Specializing in a unique mix of what might be called bluegrass soul, the SteelDrivers have become one of the biggest names in progressive bluegrass after making their debut in 2005. While there’s a strong traditional streak in the SteelDrivers’ sound, they bring a passion to their delivery that adds a distinctive flavor, and they’re not afraid of adding a forceful grit to the music. The SteelDrivers have been nominated for four Grammys, the Americana Music Association’s New Artist of the Year and was IBMA’s 2009 Emerging Artist of The Year. In 2015, “The Muscle Shoals Recordings” won the Grammy award for Best Bluegrass Recording.   The SteelDrivers are:Richard Bailey (banjo), Tammy Rogers (fiddle), Mike Fleming (bass), Brent Truitt (mandolin), Matt Dame (Guitar).   Zach Mosgrove Affectionately known as -‘THE SHAME OF BARDSTOWN!’ Kentucky born troubadour Zach Mosgrove grew up on a stack of albums spanning The Doobie Brothers, Chris Stapleton, Staind, and The Temptations.    Zach doesn’t fit neatly into one genre. Instead, he draws from his influences-flawlessly combining country, southern rock, blues, and soul music into a sound that is uniquely and unmistakably his own. When Zach sings a song, it stays sung. A self-taught musician with a blue-collar drive and undeniable natural talent, Zach has developed a legion of dedicated fans.  Bucking the trend of many young artists who rely solely on Tik-Tok sound bites, Zach finds success reaching followers and fans through his live shows.
