The OBT formally known as, The Old Barn Theater, is excited to open its door for more people to enjoy. The OBT was the first focal point in Renfro Valley’s music history. It opened its doors in 1939 allowing many far and wide to experience live music and entertainment. Since then, it has hosted many famous acts and you can feel the love and history when you walk in the rustic venue. It is dear to Renfro Valley and we want others to feel the joy we do when we walk through this rustic venue!
The venue can hold roughly 300 seated guests and 500 standing for a more casual cocktail type setup. The capacity will differ depending on how you would like to arrange the event.
For weddings we offer an all-day experience opening the doors for wedding parties to get ready in our two backstage dressing rooms. Couples are able to choose our space for reception only, or a ceremony and reception. If you chose to conduct the ceremony with us you have many options. The Grove is a great green space for an outdoor setting. However, we have a movable wedding arch that is able to be used anywhere on the grounds depending on party size. The Wedding Chapel is an adorable small white church with wooden pews. It too holds a lot of history being the place where the Sunday Morning Gatherings were hosted for years. The Wedding Chapel would be ideal for micro weddings or couples that chose to have a more intimate wedding and larger reception. Lastly, many couples may choose to have their wedding ceremony and reception in the OBT. There are many different setups to choose from for this option.
The OBT is also available to rent for corporate events and large gatherings of any sort. We welcome anyone to enjoy this wonderful space.
As part of your rental agreement, you can choose any vendors of your choice for your event. All vendors must provide proof of insurance to be approved. We do provide a complete list of preferred vendors, including a wedding and event coordinator, if you’d like someone to help manage the stress of organizing your event.
We do require a drink package to be purchased through Renfro Valley for any rental. There are several different drink package options.

Seating for up to 150 guests provided in the form of 8 ft rectangular tables, white folding chairs and whiskey barrel cocktail tables and stools. Additional seating will need to be rented.
Alcoholic beverage packages available at per person cost per hour of bar service, no outside alcohol permitted
$100 for Headliner Suite
$250 for Old Barn
Church must be self cleaned and $100 fine if all items are not removed or cleaned.
If your event requires sound or use of any of our sound/lighting staff it starts at $250 and if you opt out of sound but end up needing sound or lighting day-of, you will be billed accordingly.

- Idea for small events such as birthdays, baby and wedding showers, creative space rental for the day or hour
- 20 people comfortably
- $75 hourly rate with 4 hour min
- Cleanup and setup time is within the 4 hr rental Daily rental $300 includes 8 hours from 9am-9pm
Headliner Suite:
- Idea for birthdays, wedding or baby shower, business meetings
- Also has a lot of natural light with several windows. Good creative space for photographers to rent by hour or per day.
- Suitable for 50 guests comfortably
- Heat and A/C, restroom
- Select seating
- Hourly rate $100 per hour, 4 hour minimum
- Cleanup and setup within the rental times
- Daily rental rate $500 includes 8 hours of time between the hours of 9am-9pm
Church rental:
- Subject to availability, full wedding packages have priority reservations. It is included in wedding package pricing.
- $100 per hour
- Additional time to setup and cleanup will require per hour pricing
